My name is Julio… and Metro Italia was born from my many journeys.

But this is not only my story.
It is the story of my family.

By my side there has always been Ana: my wife, my travel companion, and my strongest support.

Ana has been with me through every change, every decision, every sacrifice. She has shared the difficult moments, the uncertain roads, and the dreams that sometimes seemed far away. Her strength, patience, and belief have always given me the courage to keep going.

Together we started in Portugal, travelled through Italy, and there we fell in love with Italian cuisine, its traditions, its simplicity, and the beautiful way food brings people together.

Our first son, Patrick, lived in Italy for several years. There, he went to school, learned the language, and became part of the culture. Later, we moved to Switzerland, where our journey continued with even more determination.

Then came Gonzalo, and after him, Tiago.

My three sons have all been part of this path. They have worked with me, learned the trade, understood the sacrifices behind this business, and helped us reach this point.

Each of them has given something important to Metro Italia.

For me, this is the real foundation of everything: not only hard work, not only passion, but having a strong family beside me.

Finally, we arrived in London, where all our experiences found one direction.

That is where Metro Italia was born: my idea of Italian cuisine in London. Authentic, family-driven, and open to the world.

Behind Metro Italia there is more than a restaurant.

There is a wife who never stopped believing, three sons who grew up close to this dream, and a family united by love, sacrifice, and dedication.
